Alleena Bennett, Psy.D.
Dr. Bennett completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She then went on to Mercer University where she acquired her Master’s degree and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. While in her doctoral program, Dr. Bennett completed multiple practicum experiences and worked in a private practice that specialized in developmental disorders. She also completed a practicum at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). Dr. Bennett did her internship at New Connections Academy in Chicago, IL, which is a therapeutic day school that specialized in providing an environment for students on the autism spectrum to thrive in the school setting.
Dr. Bennett returned to Atlanta for her postdoctoral experience, where she completed comprehensive developmental evaluations and provided therapy for young children and adolescents. She now has returned to her hometown of Henry County to help children on the Southside of Atlanta. Her experience has fueled her desire to work with children who are experiencing developmental delays, emotional/behavioral concerns, and social challenges. Overall, she is typically smiling/laughing and happy to be working with your family!
